Intuit

Hired to work on Intuit’s Shared Product Components team working on e-Delivery system which as a .Net library provides a series of API’s providing Update and self patching mechanism to Intuit’s existing product lines such as Turbo Tax and POS. Responsible for adding enhancements, fixing bugs and performance tuning, such as start up time and memory consumption of the e-Delivery library.

Mitchell International

Hired to streamline Mitchell Communication Software. Developed using technologies such as Web services and BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) Mitchell Communication is widely used by Auto insurance adjustors and body shops as a two-way communication channel allowing users to upload and download any type of data, such as claims and parts update, to and from Mitchell Enterprise Servers. Using C++, COM and C# reengineered Mitchell Communication transfer module, integrating with Microsoft BITS, replacing outdated third party transport library. Made enhancement to Mitchell Update Web Service using C#. Developed both ATL and C# class libraries to wrap BITS COM API. Wrote a custom scheduler control in C# that can be used in any .Net applications to setup schedule and receive time elapse updates.

 

Intel Corporation

Developed an Administrator Toolkit allowing the IT administrators to push wireless adapter settings, connection profiles and driver/software updates to remote machines across corporate network. Developed a driver update program for Windows Update. This program updates Intel ProSet Wireless driver during Driver Update on XP SP2. Provided the team with advanced debugging techniques.

 

Verizon Online

Hired for the development of DSL Installation application walking DSL consumers through variety of DSL requirement checkpoints, deploying all needed network components, detecting required network hardware, including USB modems and NIC cards.
Developed the infrastructure for live deployments of Verizon's products and service fulfillments for existing customers.

Designed and architected Verizon Online Updates comprised of multiple COM objects and utilizing XML, Verizon Online Updates engine downloads and installs the latest client and connectivity software applications automatically as needed. Used several Design Patterns to allow interface to Verizon Updates from any standalone and web based applications.

Managed Verizon DSL 6.0 CD project. Responsibilities include managing resources, obtaining requirements, issue tracking, coordinating activities of cross-functional groups and providing documentation for current methods and procedures.

Qualcomm
Hired by the Eudora division, to design and develop a UI installer application to facilitate selection and installation of bundled products shipped with Eudora CD.

 

College Club
Developed a Cache COM server packaged within a NT service using ATL 3.0. This Cache Server is designed to minimize network traffic and optimize web server’s performance by caching HTML contents generated by ASP pages and eliminating unnecessary access to the remote database server.

 

Global Vision
Designed and developed a middle-ware called OTM, Overall Transaction Manager, for Palmer Cay Insurance agency in Savannah, GA. This middle-ware is used to bind their Agent’s Sales and Contact Management software (Applied Systems) to their telephony and communication server (EIC from Interactive Intelligence). OTM detects phone calls routed to an agent, obtains caller information from a SQL server. Additionally, using Windows hooks, it enters keyboard and mouse inputs into Applied programs and brings up the caller’s detailed information. St. Bernard Software
Hired for the development of a new product called OFM, Open File Manager, which allows backup systems to capture open files in a “transactionally complete” state. Designed and engineered OFM's client-server messaging and communication paradigm for both Windows NT and NetWare servers. Developed OFM's client Windows application and MMC Snap-in using ATL 3.0 to configure and monitor OFM device driver on Windows NT and OFM NLM on NetWare servers. Tools and skills: VC++, Winsock, ATL 3.0 and MFC

 

RedDotNet  - A Digital On-Demand Company
Designed, developed an application called Package Builder; which composes all elements of an audio CD into one metafile ideal for digital delivery over a broadband network. Package Builder captures audio data from an audio CD to DDP format, creates MP3/WMA previews from each track, stores album’s text data into one XML file, imports all CD artwork materials and finally packs all pieces into one compressed and encrypted metafile to be deployed for future in-store production. Tools used: VC++, MFC, OLEDB, MSXML

Designed and developed a CD production application used for QA purposes to simulate CD production on retail site. This program creates an audio CD and prints all CD booklet artworks from a given metafile. Tools used: VC++, MFC, OLEDB, MSXML

Participated in development of a kiosk-based CE application intended for deployment to Barnes & Noble music stores. This program allows customers to search for an album, listen to its tracks and either place a mail order or optionally burn the CD at the store. Tools used: Embedded VC++.

Centrax Corporation -now acquired by CyberSafe
Worked on Centrax Tm 2.2, a complete intrusion detection suite that integrates network and host-based intrusion detection, vulnerability assessment, and audit policy management into a single, package. Enhanced and remote the communication architecture. Redesigned the communication scheme of the product to support TCP/IP and asynchronous communication, added compatibility with Unix and support for proxy firewalls. Tools and skills: VC++, Winsock andMFC

 

Williams & Wilkins
As a major publishing company specializing in medical training libraries, William & Wilkins hired REALCODE Development for design and engineering of four interactive multimedia CD titles. Through random case simulations, these programs were designed to instruct the healthcare professionals to make proper assessments in emergency situations. Tools and skills: VC++, Visual Basic and Delphi

 

STAC
Pre-release Software Application Enhancements.
Participated in final phase bug fixes, enhancements and finetuning of Enterprise version of Reachout, Stac’s remote control program and Passport, the Active X version of Reachout.
Developed ReachOut installation program using InstallShield and Visual C++ for developing custom installation and un-installation libraries. Tools and skills: VC++, InstallShield and MFC

Option Software
Designed, developed a COM based message queuing system running as NT service. Used Multithreading Apartment Model and Auto Thread Pooling techniques offered in ATL 3.0 for scalability and load balancing. Tools used: VC++, COM, ATL and VB
